说起cause，大家肯定想到了because，因此cause就带上了“原因

cause的词性分为两种:动词和名词，详情如下
1.

cause用作动词时，表示“造成/致使..‘
①cause后可直接用造成的结果作宾语-cause sth.
this will cause direct friction.这将导致直接的摩擦。

smoking may cause lung cancer.吸烟可能会导致肺癌。

the resignation of the chairman will cause much confusion.
主席的辞职将引起很大的混乱。

②cause后面可以接双宾语–cause sb. sth.
my little brother caused me much unhappiness.我弟弟弄得我很不开心。

i dont want to cause you trouble.我不想给你造成麻烦。

③cause后面还可以接动词不定式-cause sb. to do sth.

what caused her to cry?什么事情让她哭了?

2. cause用作名词时，主要有三大意思:
(1) cause表示“原因，起因”时，是可数名词。.

(2) cause表示“理由”时，是不可数名词。
she had just cause for anger.她有正当的理由生气。
you have no cause to blame him.你没有理由指责他。

(3) cause表示“事业/奋斗目标”时，是可数名词。.
