  作文2
  Writing
Write proposals for the service of StudentsUnionl/The Federa-tion of Students
  范文∶
  Dear President,
I hope you are doing great!l am Li Ming, one of the sophomore studentsin our university.I saw

that our Student Union posted a noticecollecting advice about enriching extracurricular activ-ities, soI amwriting this letter to make some suggestions.
First, could youorganize more sports activities? Now, there is only one annualschool-wide sports meet, and I believe both the variety and thefrequency of such events can be increased. Second, it might be a goodidea for our students to engage in more social activities which canbroaden their horizons and im-prove their sense of responsibilities. TheStudent Union can re-cruit volunteers to aid rural Project Hope primaryschools,go to nursing homes to visit elderly people, and raise funds tohelp disadvantaged groups.Besides, I suggest that more distin-guishedexperts and scholars in distinct fields be invited to de-liver speechesto our students.Last year, the Student Union or-ganized a couple offorums and lectures, which received wide acclaim from both students andteachers in our school.
Thank you for your time, and I believe ourStudent Union will play in bigger role in enriching our students’mindby organiz-ing colorful and diversified extracurricular activities.
  Warm regards,
  Li Ming

Onceupon a time, a man, who kept a flock of sheep, was ready to herd themwhen he noticed one of them was gone. Observing carefully, he saw a holein the sheepfold. Obviously, a wolf must have got in

and taken thesheep away. His neighbour advised him to fix the sheepfold, but hewouldn, t listen only to find the next day that another sheep wascarried away by the wolf. Remembering his neig- hour, s words, hehurried to repair the sheepfold by plugging the hole. Since then, nosheep was missing in this way ever again.
The story tells us: if we solve the problem in time, we can prevent ourselves from suffering bigger loss.
