kate liked to make up games.
today, she had her red ball.

今日，她拿出了一个赤色的球。
she tossed it up.
it landed on the tip of her trunk.
她把球抛了起来，
球落在了她的鼻尖上。
tom came to see kate.
“hello, kate,” he said.
“you make up the best games. can i play, too?”
猫咪tom来看kate啦。
“哈喽，kate，”他说，
“你编的游戏最佳玩啦。我也能参加吗？”
kate tossed the ball to tom. plop!
“oh, no!” said kate.
“the ball is in the mud!”
kate把球扔给tom。嘭！
“哦，不！”kate说，
“球掉进泥巴里了！”
“i could get it,” said tom.
“cats are little and fast.we can run on top of mud.”
“you are brave,” said kate.
“我能把它拿回来，”tom说，
“猫咪又小又活络。咱们可以跑在泥巴上。”
“你真英勇！”kate说。
tom ran to get the ball.
“oh,no! ” said tom.
“the ball is stuck and i am, too.”
tom跑去拿球。
“哦，不！”tom说，
“球卡住啦，我也卡住啦。”
jake came to see kate.
“hello, kate,” he said.
“you make up the best games. can i play,too?”
小鸭jake来找kate。
“哈喽，kate，”他说，
“你编的游戏最佳玩啦。我也能参加吗？”
“it is not a game,” said kate.
“tom is stuck in the mud.”
“这可不是个游戏，”kate说，
“tom卡在泥巴里啦。”
“i could help,” said jake.
“look at my feet. ducks can walk on mud.”
“you are brave,” said kate.
“我可以协助，”jake说，
“看看我的脚。鸭子可以走在泥巴上。”
“你真英勇！”kate说。
jake went to help tom.
“oh,no! ” said jake.
“tom is stuck and i am,too.”
jake去协助tom。
“哦，不！”jake说，
“tom卡住啦，我也卡住啦。”
jane came to see kate.
“hello, kate,” she said.
“you make up the best games. can i play,too?”
小猪jane来看kate。
“哈喽，kate，”她说，
“你编的游戏最佳玩啦。我也能参加吗？”
“it is not a game,” said kate.
“tom and jake are stuck in the mud.”
“这可不是个游戏，”kate说，
“tom和jake卡在泥巴里啦。”
“i could help,” said jane.
“pigs like mud. i can wade in it.”
“you are brave,” said kate.
“我可以协助，”jane说，
“小猪们喜爱泥巴。我可以淌曩昔。”
“你真英勇！”kate说。
jane went to help jake and tom.
“oh,no! ” 
said jane.
“jake and tom are stuck and i am,too!”
jane曩昔协助jake和tom。
“哦，不！”jane说，
“jake和tom卡住啦，我也卡住啦！”
“i can help,” said kate.
“jane can grab my trunk.
jake can get jane’s tail.
tom can take jake’s wing.
now let’s all pull.”
“我能协助，”kate说，
“jane可以捉住我的鼻子。
jake可以捉住jane的尾巴。
tom可以捉住jake的羽翼。
如今，咱们一同来拉吧！”
they all came out of the mud.
“that was not a very good game, kate,”
said tom and jake and jane.
我们都从泥巴里出来啦。

tom、jake和jane一齐说。
“no,” said kate.
“but i have a much better one.”
“oh, kate!” said her friends.
“you make up the best games!”
“的确不是，”kate说，
