大家好，这节课我们一起来学习a nasty habit（抽烟是恶习）。

让我们一起从零开始，从最基本的讲话，到认识单词和句子，到了解英语的语法，一起来学习，一起来成长，一点一滴的把英语学好。

a nasty habit

my mom says in the last few years, she has seen more and more teenagers smoking. they often smoke a cigarette before going to cram school. she is a cram school teacher, and she can smell the cigarette smoke on their clothes when they walk in the room. mom hates the smell of smoke. she always tells my sisters and me that if she ever catches us smoking, she will throw us out of the house. she says if we want to smell like an ashtray, we can go find one to live in. personally, i think this is a very funny thing to say. i can picture my older sister sitting on the street in a giant ashtray. i know that is not what my mom means when she says that, but it is still a funny thought. i will never smoke because it is a nasty habit.

译文：

我妈说过去几年来，她看到有越来越多的青少年在抽烟。他们经常在上培训班之前抽一根烟。我妈是培训班老师，当学生走进教室时，她可以在他们的衣服上闻到烟味。妈讨厌烟味，她总是告诉我和我姐妹们，如果她逮到我们抽烟，就会把我们赶出家门。她说如果我们想要闻起来像烟灰缸一样，可以去找个烟灰缸住在里面。就我来说，我认为这是个很逗趣的说法，我可以想象我姐姐坐在街上一个巨大烟灰缸里的景象。我知道妈不是那个意思，不过这还是一个蛮有趣的想法。而我是绝不会抽烟的，因为那是个坏习惯。

语法重点：

1. 句中若有下列时间副词短语时，动词恒使用现在完成时或现在完成进行时：

in/ during

/ for/over the past/ last + 数字 + years/ months /days /hours

过去若干年/月/日/小时以来

例：john has been workingwith our company over the last 20 years.

过去20年来，约翰一直都在为本公司效命。

what haveyou donein the past three hours？

过去三小时以来你都在做什么？

本课第一句即采用了上述句型：

my mom says (that)in the last few years, she has seenmore and moreteenagers smoking.

我妈说过去几年来，她看到有越来越多的青少年在抽烟。

2. 动词 go 或 come 在句中以原形出现时，之后可省略并列连词 and，直接接另一动词原形，即：

go (and) buy me a newspaper, son.

儿子，去帮我买份报纸。

come (and) see me when you have time.

你有空的时候就来看我。

本课倒数第五句即采用了上述结构：

she says (that) if we want to smell like an ashtray, we can go(and) findone to live in.

她说如果我们想要闻起来像烟灰缸一样，可以去找个烟灰缸住在里面。
