经济学家的独立人格并不是反政府，反体制，对什么都一批到底，以“语不惊人死不休”来浪得虚名。独立人格应该是“不唯书，不惟上、只惟实”。经济学家不应该为利益所诱惑，为风气所左右，应该以自己的专业眼光去观察、判断、思考、发言。不是以权势为导向，而是以自己的思想为依据。经济学所讲的意见可能对，也可能错，但无论对错都应该是自己真实的思想，不能看风使舵，见人说人话，见鬼说鬼话。
